Yesterday was the 60th anniversary of the beginning of the Ardennes offensive, which set off the Battle of the Bulge. Most of you who are interested in this sort of thing probably knew that already, but I wanted to post on it because I read this article last night. I have known the man in the article since I was 4, and until I read the article, had no idea that he had even been in the military, much less fought in the bloodiest American battle in Europe. The fact that he is a priest probably threw me off.
