Clark on Tomasello

Clark of Mormon Metaphysics has launched the book club with a great post on Tomasello's introductory chapter, which includes some good questions at the end. In general, I'll be posting links to all of the blogs discussing the book at one time in a single post, but since this the first post on the book that I've come across, and since it's quite good, I wanted to put up a link to it now.

OK, but I'll wait until I have done reading before I look at what others think, at least chapter by chapter, so my own understanding is unbiased by others' interpretations.

That's a good approach.

chris, do you know something cognitively and that's why you are saying it's a "good approach," or is it an intuitive hunch?

and is it me, or is cognitive science way to amenable to those who love recursive analysis.

Have we officially begun to read the book? will we be reading fixed amounts in unison and then discussing it, or will it be asynchronous? did I miss this information?

I was going to hold off putting up anything on chapter 2 until more people had put up stuff on chapter 1 and I could respond on my blog.

However if you go to the Yahoo groups there is a motion to discuss the book there rather than on our blogs.
